LSGD Graduate Engineers Association ( LSGD GEAN ) is an Association of LID & EW Department Engineers, appointed directly by the PSC. The organization, which currently has 651 members, has been in existence for over forty years. Direct recruited engineers of the LID & EW Department (Assistant Engineers to Chief Engineers) are members of this organization.

 

The primary objective of the organization is to mould a group of quality engineers by imparting latest technical knowledge and practical skills with high efficiency and by ensuring social commitment of engineers. LSGD GEAN is organizing monthly training programs in various subjects by experts in the field of technology and other official matters. A well-equipped HELP DESK comprising of 40 Engineers / Subject Experts who have proven expertise in their respective fields in 18 different subject areas is functioning under LSGD GEAN for clearance of doubts/queries of members on technical and official matters.

 

LSGD GEAN emphasizes on nurturing technical skills, as well as promoting the artistic talents of its members. Every year family reunions of the members are organized in different parts of India which is a platform to encourage artistic talents of engineers and their family members.

 

LSGD GEAN publishes a magazine named TECHNICA to express the literary and technical tastes of the members and their family. Moreover, members and their family members get an opportunity to showcase their artistic talents through a community called GELSGD Cultural Forum.

 

LSGD GEAN also provides a Health Help Desk including 10 doctors and 2 counselling experts for the health care of the members. In the view of higher presence of women in the association, it has also formed a 9 member Women's Welfare Committee  to ensure the gender equality of  association women members. 

 

Online Training Programs are conducted every month on very useful subjects like Structural design, Building Rules, RTI Act, Audit Related Matters, Material Collection Reports, Subjects pertaining to newly appointed engineers, Disciplinary actions etc.  Daily online Skill Development Programs conducted by Er. Anilkumar, Superintending Engineer of KILA – KIIFB, is a highlight which differentiates LSGD GEAN from other similar organizations.

 

We are sure that  the participation in our Association activities will boost up the level of confidence, morale and social engineering skills along with  technical achievements.
